Et voila!

The Habits of The Young Folk

They skip down the sidewalks and jump fences and skateboard over curbs while sucking the bottoms of Freezies and chewing on Jawbreakers weaving in and out of adult traffic with their chins high and their chests inflated down the sweet boulevards under the fresh blue sky with the golden wafts of an encroaching evening while hearty home-made food finishes baking in the oven for their satisfied empty stomachs after a long day of adventure within the hidden overgrowths of secret shaded jungles full of mystery and danger and intrigue.

    3. It makes me feel like I have pig tails and I am chewing cotton candy flavored bubble gun while sitting by water and smelling fresh bread and time has frozen still and nothing will ever go wrong.

  6. Penny is suffering the universal pangs of existence -- I wonder if she's still struggling to find meaning/significance in life.

Pat seems interesting. I wonder why he recoils at the discovery of pleasure-from-shame?

I'm puzzled how ordinariness can be extraordinary :P.

The man with the top hat looks familiar. Nice and elegant. I assume all these characters are real and thus this entire series is deeply revealing and private NSA-style leakage. Nice.

How do you define "gambits"? I'm trying to fit in my dictionary's definition into the poem. I'm beginning to like the "m" in that word that trips up the rhyminess with "habits". Very punk / dissonant.

The Mary poem is the best. Very deep. The greyness also aptly captured her isolation / self-absorption.

  7. Gambit: An action, or opening remark, typically one entailing a degree of risk, that is calculated to gain an advantage.

"Mary" is my favorite as well, poem-wise :)

  8. From Spawns father,
Mary or Penny...hmmm... I will go for Penny.
All the pictures are awesome. Why wont Deenis bike in the rain?
